# Download for Offline

{% hint style="info" %}
*Quick Disclaimer for **iPad/iPhone** users:*\
In order to use the updated version of Offline Access, you ***must*** have the ***latest iOS update**.* If your device is not updated, the Offline Access will not work. That being said, if you are reading this, please make sure your device is updated!
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
*Another Quick Disclaimer for **Firefox** users:*\
In your setting, please uncheck this option in Firefox: "**Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed."** This comes checked by default and disables the Offline Feature in the eReader!
{% endhint %}

Now, if your eBook has an offline access allowance, you can save a part of your book in your browser's cache. This enables you to read your eBook when you don't have an internet connection.

## Activating an Offline Session <a href="#downloadforoffline-activatinganofflinesession" id="downloadforoffline-activatinganofflinesession"></a>

*You must have an Internet connection while activating Offline mode. The content downloads to your browser cache. From there, you can then access your content through the unique link without a network. Clearing your browser cache may disrupt your Offline Access.*

Once you have determined your book’s offline allowance, you can create an offline session. Navigate to the upper right-hand portion of your screen and select Additional Options (3 horizontal bars) and select Download for Offline to begin.

You may end your offline session at any time. Navigate to the Offline menu and select **Clear Downloads for** all or select the **delete** icon to clear a specific section. After that, you can activate a new offline session!
