## Key Features

Unizin will begin archiving daily CD2 `canvas_logs` exports.

## Details

Starting 4/18/2024 Unizin will archive daily snapshots of the tables under the `canvas_logs` namespace in CD2. This currently only includes [the `web_logs` table](https://data-access-platform-api.s3.amazonaws.com/tables/catalog.html#tables-in-canvas-logs).

This dataset is meant for historical audit purposes and will not be visible to users by default. If you require access to this dataset contact our support team at <support@unizin.org>.

Jobs to retrieve snapshots will trigger at 10:00 UTC daily and will contain data from the previous day. For example, the job that runs at `2024-04-19 10:00:00 UTC` will retrieve data from `2024-04-18 00:00:00 UTC` until `2024-04-19 00:00:00 UTC`.

Historical data will be stored as parquet files for a period of 305 days (\~10 months) before being deleted compared to the [default retention limit in Canvas of 30 days](https://data-access-platform-api.s3.amazonaws.com/tables/catalog.html#schemas.canvas_logs.web_logs).
