# Learner activities (ERD)

The UCDM includes a number of entities to represent Learner activities. These entities represent the core learning activities –such as assignments, papers, exams, quizzes, etc– that are designed by instructors and experienced by students in a learning environment.

## Entities <a href="#learneractivities-erd-entities" id="learneractivities-erd-entities"></a>

The Learner activity entities in the Unizin Common Data Model are as follows:

<table data-full-width="true"><thead><tr><th width="263.33333333333337">Entity</th><th>Definition</th><th>Data dictionary documentation</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Learner activity</td><td>An assignment, task, piece of work, or other activity that is as part of a course of study.</td><td><a href="https://docs.udp.unizin.org/ucdm/data-dictionary-2.0.html#learner_activity">https://docs.udp.unizin.org/ucdm/data-dictionary-2.0.html#learner_activity</a></td></tr><tr><td>Learner activity override</td><td>A rule or set of rules that overrides the default conditions of a learner activity for a particular audience of students.</td><td><a href="https://docs.udp.unizin.org/ucdm/data-dictionary-2.0.html#learner_activity_override">https://docs.udp.unizin.org/ucdm/data-dictionary-2.0.html#learner_activity_override</a></td></tr><tr><td>Learner activity result</td><td>The result of a learner engagement with a learner activity.</td><td><a href="https://docs.udp.unizin.org/ucdm/data-dictionary-2.0.html#learner_activity_result">https://docs.udp.unizin.org/ucdm/data-dictionary-2.0.html#learner_activity_result</a></td></tr><tr><td>Learner activity group</td><td>A group of learner activities as part of a course design.</td><td><a href="https://docs.udp.unizin.org/ucdm/data-dictionary-2.0.html#learner_activity_group">https://docs.udp.unizin.org/ucdm/data-dictionary-2.0.html#learner_activity_group</a></td></tr><tr><td>Learner activity group grade</td><td>The score awarded to a Person in a particular Learner activity group.</td><td><a href="https://docs.udp.unizin.org/ucdm/data-dictionary-2.0.html#learner_activity_group_grade">https://docs.udp.unizin.org/ucdm/data-dictionary-2.0.html#learner_activity_group_grade</a></td></tr></tbody></table>

## Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) <a href="#learneractivities-erd-entityrelationshipdiagram-erd" id="learneractivities-erd-entityrelationshipdiagram-erd"></a>

The following Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) represents the UCDM's Learner activity entities and their relationships.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://resources.unizin.org/products/data-and-analytics/unizin-data-platform/unizin-common-data-model/learner-activities-erd.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
